Success Story

My husband and I reached out to Dr. Kathleen Christopher for advice on our current IEP. We have a 5 year old boy who is transitioning from ECSE to Kindergarten next year. We have a great deal of trust in his current teacher, but were uncertain if his accommodations were sufficient for him to transition smoothly into a new classroom/environment.

Dr. Christopher was wonderful to work with from start to finish. She went through our son’s IEP line by line and provided thorough notes and explanations for each point that needed to be addressed. She was prepared and professional during each meeting, but was direct with us which I so much appreciated. She set clear expectations for us regarding the standard of communication between the school and parents, accommodations provided for students similar to our son, and what our IEP should look like. I consider myself to be immersed in my son’s care and education, but learned so much from Kathleen by going through this process.

Dr. Christopher went above and beyond by following up with me to hear about the response I received from the school and talked me through which points of interests/accommodations were most important to keep fighting for.

I feel confident going into the next school year knowing that everything is in place for my son to make a smooth transition, and that the appropriate accommodations are set. I definitely recommend this service and consider it money well spent!
